Daniel Akiva

Daniel Akiva is a composer, arranger, guitar player, lute player and pedagogue. He wrote a wide variety of works: for solo instruments - oboe, cello, clarinet, flute, flute, viola de gamba, violin, mandolin, piano and guitar. Chamber Music - string quartet, cello clarinet and piano, oboe, cello and guitar, guitar and string quartet, flute and guitar.
Voice Music - Choir for equal voices, mixed choir, choir and orchestra, chorus, percussion and guitar, orchestral music and program music. His works are performed worldwide by artists, chamber ensembles, choirs and orchestras. As a guitarist, he has performed at festivals and concert series around the world, as solist, with chamber ensembles and orchestras. Daniel has been researching Spanish Jewish music for years and some of his works are based on the heritage of Spanish Jews, liturgical songs, romances, Cantigas, and Coplas.
