Abigail McHugh-Grifa

Welcome to my channel! My goal is to share what I know about a variety of topics, so others may benefit from the education I've had. In regards to my cello videos, please keep in mind that there are many schools of thought when it comes to cello playing! If your teacher says something different from what I say, consider that we may both be right. Here are my credentials: I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Eastman School of Music and teacher in the Rochester area (cello lessons, early childhood music classes, and a few college courses). Before coming to Rochester, I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music, where I studied with Richard Aaron. More recently, I've studied with Alan Harris, David Ying, and Elizabeth Simkin. If you're looking for my celloteachersfriend website, I'm sorry to say that I shut it down because I didn't have time to maintain it. Check out happilyeducated.com instead! Thanks so much for visiting my page.
