Section One Entertainment

Section One Entertainment (or simply “Section One") was first conceived as a gentlemen's partnership for the production of an independent film called Barracks Rats by founder Joseph L. Puente and three of his friends while they served in the U.S. Navy: Jeremy Para, Bill Cuellar, and Ryan Nardi, all of whom were at one time assigned to the same work shift or "duty section" (Section One) at the Naval Security Group Activity (NSGA) Winter Harbor, Maine.

Section One is now the production arm of The Utah Filmmakers™ Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its focus is on the development and production of original content including short-form and feature-length narrative and documentary films.
