Red Dutchess Farm
We are homesteading on a 65 acre farm in the middle of the Shawnee National Forest in the southern tip of Illinois. It seems to be an ever growing list, but currently alpacas, horses, a milk cow and calf, chickens, guinea fowl, a sheep, pet pigs, dogs and cats are the animals on the farm. Our gardens are around two acres plus a young orchard, various berries and many other annual and perennial plants. A commercial greenhouse, doing all of the spring crop items including flowering and garden bedding plants, hanging baskets, pots and containers, keeps us extremely busy from late January through May. Join us on our journey to a more self sustainable life.
