Heavy rain was forecast for the outdoor show, which seemed appropriate, considering it rained the last time the band played the Greek Theatre in 2008, and it rained when they played at last October's Treasure Island Festival in 2016. However, the rain stopped by the afternoon. It was still cold enough that we could often see Jonsi's breath as he sang..

For the VIP package, we got a portfolio of 3 screen prints signed by Jonsi, Orri and Georg. The prints appeared to be still images of the video backgrounds used for the performances of Sæglópur, Ný Batterí and Vaka. We also go early entry into the venue, all of which was very nice:

For the North American tour dates of 2017. Sigur Rós said that they will be continuing the experiment begun this year of performing as trio, "eschewing the string, brass, and other auxiliary musicians that have been a hallmark of live performances the past decade. once again they will be touring without a support act, performing two career spanning sets separated by an intermission."
