With the globalisation of manufacturing, it is essential for SMEs to embrace innovation in order to stay ahead of competition. A prime example of such change is Feinmetall Singapore, a local precision engineering factory that unveiled its Digital Manufacturing Facility – featuring technologies piloted in Agency for Science, Technology and Research's Model Factory@SIMTech.
Speaking at the launch, Minister S Iswaran emphasised on how the government is committed to assisting SMEs with transformation, through open innovation and partnerships that drive advancement in digitalisation.
