Samantha has a key talk with John about her future on Farmer Wants a Wife after feeling overwhelmed.

Could this be the end of the road for Farmer John Sansone and dater Samantha Riehl?

Them sneak peek at the Thursday, April 17 episode of Farmer Wants a Wife, John and Samantha, both 25, get a moment to have to chat one-on-one.

But first, Samantha opens up about her current emotional state.

"I am so overwhelmed right now," she begins. "I had no idea where this was going to go, and I honestly came in here thinking this is going to be extremely easy."Despite the outcome differing from her initial beliefs of how things would play out, Samantha feels that "the spark flew instantly" between the pair.

"I need to tell you right now you are one of the most amazing guys that I've ever met in my life," she continues. "You are probably one of the most fiercely loyal people I've ever met. God-fearing, family-oriented and everything that I've ever looked for in a man."

To that, John, sensing the praise was leading to something more bleak, says after staring at her blankly, "But..."

The clip then concludes, leaving John and Samantha's fate in question.The pair have had a bumpy journey from the get-go. Beginning with the speed dating rounds in the March 20 premiere episode, John and Samantha had a rather playful first encounter, leading him to pick her for the first, solo overnight date at his Missouri farm. But Samantha, who declared to her fellow daters that she would go home on Day 1 if he didn't pick her for the solo outing, wasn't keen on John, 25, referring to her as a "challenge."

John and Samantha got more time alone later on, during which she told him in a now-viral moment she "cannot kiss you on camera" after brushing away his advances.

"There's a reason for that," she continued. "I'm going to marry someone someday. It might be you, it might not be you, and I don't want something of me kissing another man on television. If it's you, then we don't have anything to worry about."

John confessed that he thought the interaction was "going a different way," and he was confused because they were on a dating show. However, Samantha argued that those are "my values," adding, "I want my husband to have more than that."

"Well, I do very much respect it and I understand it," John said in response.

Then, in episode 3, Samantha admitted that she was contemplating going home. The shift was sparked by her seeing John interact with the other women, but the episode concluded before her decision was revealed.Farmer Wants a Wife airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
