Welcome to the recording our our first zoom session of the Knitalong with Julie Hoover hosted by mYak, the Knitting Posse and with the participation of Monarch Knitting, a lovely yarn store based in California. This first chat is the Cast on Party where we talk about the KAL, learn more about Julie Hoover's design process, the collaboration with mYak and we see what Kim, Laura and Kate of the Knitting Posse decided to cast on for the KAL.

This KAL is the perfect time to start knitting a timeless, elegant modern garment because this is Julie’s signature. Her designs are the epitome of casual elegance and always include the most thoughtful details and shaping/construction—the kind of pieces you will want to keep in your closet forever. WHAT: Any Julie Hoover pattern. We have a suggested list below, but feel free to pick what you like. We suggest using yarns by mYak and/or Julie Hoover, but as we simply want to “knit together,” feel free to use ANY yarn.
