Freedom is knowing you don’t have to be anybody else. This is a self portrait created following the pandemic. I conceptualized, directed and edited this piece as a self portrait. My growth in the pandemic stemmed from conquering fear and feeling feeling a new sense of liberation I gave to myself.
I experienced a Metamorphosis during the pandemic, shedding the shame that kept me in a cocoon. I was myself for the first time when I moved across the country and redefined what it means for my heart to feel full and my soul to feel present.
