So today I decided to head to this STH-10 in Brownsdale. I went here because this weekend was my grandmas birthday and it was in Austin MN and this was on the way so I decided to stop here. This siren is very interesting, it’s mounted very high up on the water tower and is also mounted on some janky metal plate which has a hole cut out for the intake. I got here around 11:20AM and started walking around and getting some pictures in the process. This siren has only 1 recording prior to this video. The video was a monthly test of the siren going off, so no recordings have been posted of this going off at noon. I still had faith in this siren sounding and braved the cold September weather. I decided to set up in a pavilion at this park where the siren is located to be out of the wind and have not as much sunlight coming at my camera. I started recording and about 40 seconds after noon, this siren to my surprise fired up. Sadly though, it only growled for a very short period of time, not even getting close to full pitch. This siren took about 9 minutes to wind down which I kind of expected. Also for some reason throughout the test, my cameras auto focus didn’t know what the hell to focus on so the video pulsates throughout. Anyway, I’m pretty happy to get another Minnesota recording and I think the video turned out ok. Enjoy!
