This is how to add Flex Fuel using OEM parts to your 14-18 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra. This is the HARD way! There are much easier and less expensive solutions out there but if you want to use OEM GM parts, this is the way. The tune must be updated from "virtual" to "physical" to read the actual sensor!
These parts are good for the 143.5" wheelbase trucks. This includes the Crew Cab Short bed and the Extended Cab Standard Bed trucks. The parts are the SAME for both 6L80 (MYC) or 8L90 (M5U) transmissions and both 5.3L (L83) and 6.2L (L86). The RPO code for trucks originally equipped with the flex fuel sensor is FHS. No 8L90 (M5U) truck was factory equipped with the flex fuel sensor (FHS).
