The Shankill Butchers (Full story) – The Worst Serial Killers in UK History [True Crime Documentary]

The troubles was the name given to a roughly 30 year period in Northern Ireland where rival factions engaged in a guerrilla campaign of violence, apparently fighting for the future of the Irish people. Bombings and tit for tat executions were commonplace but between 1975 and 1982 for the residents of the district of Shankill in the city of Belfast it wasn’t the sound of bullets or explosions that chilled their blood, it was the sound of a London black taxi the mode of transport used by a group of depraved psychopathic sadists known as the Shankill butchers, led by a monster called Lenny Murphy who murdered at least 22 people.
