大井川鐵道SL急行「南アルプス号」と「かわね路号」を、C10-8がレアなバック運転で牽引するシーンを集めた映像集です。

大井川鐵道は昨年の台風15号被害により、現在も川根温泉笹間渡〜千頭間で運転を見合わせ中。
また、先日のEL急行の連結器分離トラブルにより、10月に再開した家山と川根温泉笹間渡の間は電車のみでの運転に変更されており、SL急行は新金谷〜家山間の運転となっています。

SLが大井川第一橋梁を渡る姿を見られないのは残念ですが、家山からの復路は再びC10がバック牽引での運用です。全国でもバック運転が見られるのはここだけ、しかも年末年始も南アルプス号１往復、かわね路号２往復合わせて３往復も運転している為、たっぷり撮影を楽しめます。

Oigawa Railway is still suspending operation between Kawane Onsen Sasamado and Senjyu due to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 15 last year.
In addition, due to the recent coupler separation trouble of the Electric locomotive train, operation between Ieyama and Kawane Onsen Sasamado, which reopened in October, had been changed to Electriccar-only operation, and the Steam locomotive train was operating between Shinkanaya and Ieyama.

It is regrettable that we could not see the Steam locomotive train crossing the Oigawa Daiichi Bridge for the first time in a while, but the return trip from Ieyama was again operated with the steam locomotive class C10 in back traction. This is the only place in Japan where you can see the back traction, and since there were three round trips, one for the 'Minami-Alps' and two for the 'Kawaneji', we had a lot of fun taking pictures.
