Show Mercy to Animals | Sache Islami Waqiat Ep - 15

A long time ago in Ghazni, there lived a tribal leader named Subuktigin. He had nothing except a horse and spent most of his time hunting.

One day, while hunting, he spotted a doe and her fawn grazing. He chased them on horseback, and though the mother ran swiftly, the fawn couldn’t keep up. Subuktigin caught the fawn and started heading home.

Seeing this, the mother followed him with sorrowful eyes. When he noticed her pain and longing, his heart softened, and he set the fawn free. The baby deer joyfully ran back to its mother, and together, they disappeared into the forest.

That night, Subuktigin saw Prophet Mohammed ﷺ in a dream. The Prophet ﷺ said: “You showed mercy to the poor deer, and Allah loved your act so much that He has written your name among kings. Soon, you will become a ruler. But remember, when you gain power, never be arrogant and always treat your people with kindness.”*

Later, Subuktigin became a great king, ruling with justice and mercy, never forgetting his lesson.

Lesson: When we show kindness to Allah’s creation, He grants us His mercy. Animals are also His creatures treat them with compassion.
