Many couples in the first trimester of pregnancy are very keen to know about the sex during pregnancy safe or unsafe.
Pregnancy is the normal physiological process of the body.
In pregnancy if there is no complication then a pregnant lady can do all home tasks and the same relation between husband and wife is also a normal thing during pregnancy.
Sex during pregnancy is also a normal thing in pregnancy.
But there are some contraindications of sex during pregnancy which are:
1. History of previous abortions. If a lady has a previous history of abortions in the first trimester of pregnancy and she has a history of sudden bleeding and abortion should avoid coitus during pregnancy. Patients should avoid intercourse till that and that bleeding stocks and babies have fetal heart and placenta well developed then she can have sex in this pregnancy.
2. History of spotting and per vaginal bleeding in this pregnancy. If a patient has a history of spotting or abortion in this pregnancy she should also avoid coitus in the first trimester.
3. History of preterm labour. If a patient of the history of pre term labour in a previous pregnancy should avoid intercourse in this pregnancy so that she can start labour pain and the baby can deliver Preterm.
4. Low Laying placenta. If the placenta is low laying or covering the cervix in this case patient should avoid intercourse so that bleeding can start because such patients often have on PV bleeding and patients can land into severe bleeding and can deliver Preterm babies and mother and foetus both can be in risk.
5. Rupture of the water bag. If water bag raptures then due to intercourse, infection can be transferred to the foetus and the upper uterus also so it's better to avoid intercourse if there is rupture of the membrane.
Intercourse during pregnancy is safe if there is no such complication which is explained briefly.
