ONE DAY IN VILJANDI (ESTONIA) | 4K 60FPS | Look how beautiful this place is!

With this video I would like to introduce you to a very beautiful city in Estonia. It is somewhat hidden in the forests of southern Estonia, but is the sixth largest city in the country.

Viljandi was once one of the largest trading town fortifications in the entire Baltic region. It secured the popular trade routes between Prussia in the west and Russia in the east. Today, the citadel stands in ruins at the top of the town. The fortress is surrounded by lush greenery and Lake Viljandi.

I remember my visit to Viljandi as if I had only been there yesterday. I am still impressed by the beautiful landscape, the many colorful and beautiful houses, the cozy cityscape; and of course the calm, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. I was also lucky with the weather and was able to take my photos in the most beautiful sunshine.

As always, I tried to capture my impressions in the best possible way with my video design, editing and choice of music. I hope that I have succeeded in taking you on a magical journey to Viljandi.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my long-time friend and former work colleague Michael. He emigrated from Germany a few years ago and settled in Estonia, where he has built up a small but very nice camping and holiday resort called "Marika Puhkeküla". The website www.marikapuhkus.ee is still under construction. We actually wanted to spend our time together in Estonia, but he always had something to do, so he lent me his car and recommended a trip to Viljandi. I'm still grateful for that and I hope that his enthusiasm for Viljandi will spread to you.
