Returning from Mrytle Beach, it was 400 overcast when I left in the morning. When I returned, the ATIS was calling it 500 feet. After I was way inside the marker, maybe 1,000 feet AGL the tower informs me the previous aircraft called it more like 200 overcast which is about where I saw the ground. If you can see the lower GI275 has their depiction of the indicator. I have about a 20 degree left crab to keep it on the localizer. Fairly smooth ride.
