This is the most popular of the five great compositions of St. Tyagaraja, together known as pancha-ratna-kritis. The melodic structure and emotional richness of this composition is matchless. It is a glowing tribute to all great masters of the past. This was performed in the presence of the Shankaracharya of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham, H.H. Sri Bharathi Tirtha Swamiji.
