“Right of recall” proposals have been being debated up and down the state at the local government level since the outset of the pandemic. These expansive policy proposals seek to prescribe exactly how you rehire and hire your team members. Unfortunately, these efforts actually stymie rehiring efforts.
What started as an incredibly expansive set of local policy proposals was narrowed along the way- and Governor Newsom eventually rejected the state version of this effort.
