One of the largest Maginot line forts sits quietly near Fort Casso and is now only partially occupied by an army of volunteers slowly renovating parts of the fort. But with miles of underground tunnels and 10 galleries 90 percent of this fort is still as the Germans left it in 45 after heavy fighting. My Friend from fort Casso borrowed the key to the dark unrestored part and we are talking you through the entire fort, its galleries and combat blocks.
And of course sharing the story of the fort at war, the battles and scars.
