Hike Type: Out and Back is one of the must-do hikes in Los Angeles: a moderate, 9 miles (round trip) hike to one of the most interesting places of the San Gabriel Mountains. Bridge do Nowhere is a bridge located literally in the middle of nowhere in the Sheep Mountain Wilderness. The bridge was built in 1936, when they were building a road connecting the San Gabriel Valley to Wrightwood. However, a massive flood in 1938 due to extremely heavy rain, destroyed the road-in-construction, so they decided to abandon the project, leaving a perfectly finished bridge lost in the middle of nowhere. Now a company called Bungee America owns the land and does bungee jumping off the 100 foot
