Easy Method To Make Sloe Gin At Home | Foraging To Drinking

I made this last night and quickly got it edited for you. There's still loads of sloe berries out there to pick. Get some and make your own sloe gin.

My recipe gets tweaked most years but I use around:
1-litre gin
500g Sloe Berries
225g Sugar

I use the cheapest gin. If you're lucky, the more expensive gin will be on offer and be cheaper. I personally can't tell the difference between the different makes though other than the fancier bottle.

The original recipe I used said 250g sugar, tweak it to your taste. I found it a bit too sickly when it was sweeter.

You don't need to use different trays and plates to thaw out your berries like in the video either, I just did that to try and make the video better. Save washing up and just get 1 tray dirty.
