YSL Jury Hears Snippet of 'S.L.I.M.E.' By Ola Playa & Young Thug

Young Thug's lawyer Brian Steel finally managed to play a song for the jury. Part of one, at least. It was "S.L.I.M.E." by Ola Playa and Thugger, and a portion played yesterday (Tuesday, Feb. 6) during Steel's cross of Atlanta police Detective Mark Belknap.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville was surprisingly accepting of Steel's attempt to play it for Belknap, over the objection of Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton. This follows him flatly rejecting Steel's attempts to play "Droppin Jewels" and "Lifestyle" during his cross-examination of Trontavious "Tick" Stephens.

The song came up when Steel questioned Belknap about the meaning of "slime" to Thug and YSL. Belknap said in direct-exam that he's interviewed a lot of YSL members, and none has said slime means "slug love i me everyone," but the song "S.L.I.M.E." has that lyric.
