The prototype Vande Bharat Sleeper train completed its Ahmedabad-Mumbai trial run in just about 4 hours, achieving a top speed of 130 kmph. Meanwhile, RDSO has successfully concluded Oscillation and Emergency Braking Distance (EBD) trials on the 16-coach rake across Northern, West Central & Western Railways. The tests confirmed superior ride comfort, stability and safety. This marks a major step towards launching India’s first Semi-high-speed overnight sleeper trains soon.
