Varanasi News: वाराणसी के 60 से ज्यादा मठों-आश्रमों को कुर्की का नोटिस | Saint | Uttar Pradesh News

धर्म की नगरी वाराणसी में इन दिनों नगर निगम और संत-समाज के बीच टैक्स नोटिस को लेकर ज़ोरदार टकराव की स्थिति बन गई है. नगर निगम द्वारा शहर के दो दर्जन से अधिक मठों और मंदिरों को लाखों रुपये के बकाया हाउस टैक्स, सीवेज टैक्स और पानी के टैक्स जमा करने का नोटिस भेजा गया है. सबसे गंभीर बात यह है कि निगम ने टैक्स जमा करने के लिए 15 दिन का अल्टीमेटम दिया है और ऐसा न करने पर मठों की कुर्की के आदेश भी जारी कर दिए हैं.

In Varanasi, the holy city, a major conflict has erupted between the municipal corporation and the religious community over tax notices. The municipal corporation has sent notices to more than two dozen monasteries and temples in the city, demanding payment of lakhs of rupees in outstanding property tax, sewage tax, and water tax. Most alarmingly, the corporation has given a 15-day ultimatum for payment and has even issued orders for the seizure of the monasteries' properties if the taxes are not paid.
