Almost no one commutes by bike in İstanbul and i haven't heard of anyone using both bike and subway. It is too expensive and takes too much time. However with steep and long hills i would need to climb if i had ridden the bike i would sweat so much and this is not very nice if you don't have a shower in office like mine.
