{Hold Gears} Metroline Enviro 200 Allison ft. Kickdown, Double Downshifts & Redlines on Backroads

It's been a little minute since an E200 has featured on the channel and that void has been filled by this Euro 5 DE... As some may have noticed most E200s between 2010 and 2012 (if you're lucky) do kick, but they don't rev as high, only reaching about 2100RPM before upshifting. But there is a trend for Euro 5 E200s that have had their mapping changed. They would kick like their elder siblings, at around 2400RPM, but instead of shifting, they hold... until you let your foot off a bit, or, whenever they feel like it. 😅 This does add quite a bit of character considering Allison E200s are quite basic, anybody should know an Allison when they hear one! Here on Route C11, this bus is floored through the backroads, multiple times reaching 4th gear in full throttle, many double downshifts, and some redlines as the bus clears an incline! Unsurprisingly this bus was limited to 39mph, but for a route like this, it's more than enough!
