When David Seville (Jason Lee) has an accident and is rushed to the hospital for an extended stay, his cousin Toby (Zach Levi) takes over the care of the boys. In the meantime, Ian Hawke (David Cross) is trying to find another animal act to replace the Chipmunks. He finds Brittany (Anna Faris), Jeanette (Christina Applegate), and Eleanor (Amy Poehler), the Chipettes -- who channel their inner Beyoncé -- and vows to make them famous.
