The late, great George Miller had appeared dozens of times on both Late Night w David Letterman and The Tonight Show w Johnny Carson before Miller's tragic death after a long bout with leukemia on March 5, 2003.
He was a true original, with an offbeat mind and comedy style that many suggest influenced his friend David Letterman's style greatly. (Letterman paid for Miller's medical expenses throughout his battle with leukemia.)
It was a treat to have George on our dopey little show to talk about comedy and writing jokes - and this segment remains one of few appearances George made on shows other than Letterman and Carson's.
The clip begins with some silliness about Fred Wolf and Paul's strange relationship, and in the opening monologue, a reference to the Tonight Show's nightly "Doc" Severinsen intro - with Jon Ross.
