Getting Started with Tap&Save

Metro's new digital payment system, Tap&Save, starts July 16, 2025.

With Tap&Save, you no longer need to buy daily or monthly passes in advance. Just load funds onto your Transit app or EZfare smart card, tap or scan when you board, and go.

The system automatically deducts the lowest possible fare and tracks your spending, so you’ll never pay more than:

• Local Routes: $4.40 per day $88 a month for local routes
• Express Routes: $6.00 a day or $120 a month.
