Minelab 14” Coil v Nugget Finder 12” Z Search Coil

While I had possession of a Z Search test coil, I decided to do a video on the comparison with my favourite ML 14 “ coil. I enlisted the help of a friend, Jock, with his GPZ 7000 ML 14” and I hooked up the NF 12”.

Sometimes, these comparisons are ‘how long is a piece of string’ type. Trying to set a level playing field, we opted to have mostly the Minelab factory preset settings and just the WM 12 (wireless module) hooked up. Of course, there would likely be different responses if sensitivity or other settings were used, but you have to start somewhere 😀.

The footage may seem a bit jumpy but that is me editing the footage to try to place side by side comparisons for you . Having used the NF 12” test coil for a few days, I did find it lighter especially coupled with the CTX 3030 battery. (I loaded a video on that previously) as I detect for long hours when I get the chance.
