UK inflation falls to 2.6% in the month of March

Inflation fell more than expected in March, official figures show.

The annual rate of inflation came in at 2.6% in the month, the Office for National Statistics said. Economists had expected a rate of 2.7%.

Inflation is the rate at which prices are rising. It directly affects the overall cost of living and, if wages are not increasing at the same pace, the value of your money decreases.
