birth and family life
samson h chowdhury was born on september 25, 1925 in faridpur district. his father is yaqub hossain chowdhury and mother is latika chowdhury. his wife's name is anita chowdhury. he has three sons - anjan chowdhury, tapan chowdhury and samuel chowdhury.

education
from 1930-40, he studied at vishnupur high school in kolkata. this is where he earned his senior cambridge degree. he then received a diploma in management from harvard university school.

career
samson h. chowdhury's father was a medical officer at the outdoor dispensary. he has been involved in medicine since childhood because of his father's profession. after completing his education from india, he returned to ataikula village in pabna, then east pakistan. thinking in 1952, he chose pharmacy as a business; he gave a small shop in the village market. in 1958, when the united front government was in power, it got a license to set up a pharmaceutical factory. along with three other friends, he set up a factory in pabna for a total of rs. 80,000 each. square was also named as the institution of four friends. so its logo is also square in size. the company established in 1958 currently employs 30,000 workers. not only in medicine, but also in the business of this industrial group, cosmetics, textiles, clothing manufacturing, agricultural products, it, healthcare and even media have been expanded. he was chairman of fishing, one of the country's private television channels. square group was selected as the best scorer by the national board of revenue in fy 2009-10.

respect and burial
samson h. chowdhury was buried at the farmbari estras in kashipur, pabna. special prayers are offered according to religious rituals before being buried. the ceremony was attended by top officials of the square family, including all family members.
