Campervan Travels Orkney to Amsterdam

We welcome you to join us on our #campervan journey from leaving Orkney to arriving at the ferryport in South Shields. Along the way we visited some towns en route including Arbroath for the famous Smokies. We have also included a segment about the #travelcosts for our two week stay in #orkney

Our initial journey plan needed to change, and we sought shelter from Storm Amy for a couple of nights at Findhorn, enjoying a walk on the beach before continuing south. It was great to meet the guys from ‪@Touringwiththekids‬ and sharing our #vanlife experiences.

The journey through the East Coast of Scotland was epic, and one we will certainly revisit having bought the excellent guide book to the NE250 from ‪@highlands2hammocks‬. A special mention to ‪@BenandEmily‬ for the suggestion to use 'your parking space' https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/. Whilst we didn't actually use it for this journey, it will come in handy for other #adventures

We arrived in plenty of time for our DFDS ferry to Amsterdam and look forward to sharing our #europeanroadtrip with you as we visit #northholland #friesland before moving on through #germany into #denmark - that's next ... coming soon.
