Bento Cake Recipe
Ingredients for Sponge:
Eggs 6
Icing sugar 1 ½ cup
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
All-purpose flour 1 ½ cup
Baking powder 1 ½ tsp
Ingredients for Whipped Cream:
NESTLÉ MILKPAK Dairy Whipping Cream 2 cups
Blue food color 1/4 tsp
Purple food color 1/4 tsp
Pink food color 1/4 tsp
Dark chocolate (melted) 1/4 cup
Ingredients for Cake Assembling:
Prepared sponges 3
Whipped cream as required
Sugar syrup as required
Coffee syrup (coffee 1 tbsp + water 2 tbsp)
Chocolate chips as required
Fruit cocktail as required
White fondant
Cake decoration pearls as required
Directions for Sponge Preparation:
1. In bowl add eggs, icing sugar, vanilla essence and beat until foamy and pale in color.
2. Now add flour, baking powder and mix it well.
3. Pour 1 cup of batter into 3 cake moulds each. Bake them at 160 degrees for 15-20 mins.
4. Take them out of the oven and set aside.
Directions for Whipped Cream Preparation:
5. In a bowl add NESTLÉ MILKPAK Dairy Whipping Cream and beat until fluffy and stiff peaks form.
Note: Note: Chill the cream overnight in the fridge and whip it with an electric beater.
6. Add 1 ½ cup of whipped cream in 3 bowls each. Add purple, blue and pink food color separately in each. Mix them well and set aside.
7. In another bowl add 1 ½ cup of whipped cream and add melted dark chocolate and mix it well. Your Chocolate Frosting is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
8. Take a cake and cut it into 3 discs. Spread sugar syrup and whipped cream between each disc of cake and placing them on top of each other. Now cover it with whipped cream and decorate it with white fondant and baking pearls. Set aside.
9. Take another cake and cut into 3 discs. Spread coffee syrup, chocolate chips and chocolate frosting between each disc of cake and placing them on top of each other. Now cover it with whipped cream and decorate it with baking pearls. Set aside.
10. Take another cake and cut into 3 discs. Spread sugar syrup, whipped cream and fruit cocktail between each disc of cake and placing them on top of each other. Now cover it with whipped cream and decorate it with white fondant and baking pearls. Set aside.
11. Your Bento Cakes are ready. Serve and enjoy.
