Driving Our Skoolie on Route 66 (Oklahoma and Texas)

We're going through the ENTIRE state of Oklahoma (and a little bit of Texas!), and driving our skoolie for a US Route 66 road trip!

We stop by Pops 66 for some weirdly-flavored sodas, check out the Round Barn in Arcadia, and even spend a few hour exploring and hammocking at Arcadia Lake

As we continue west through Oklahoma, we stop for BBQ at a locally-run Oklahoma smokehouse. We try beef BBQ and park BBQ sandwiches, and they are VERY different from the Carolina BBQ we grew up with!

Finally, we exit Oklahoma, but the fun doesn't stop there! Our minds were BLOWN when we visited Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Amarillo, Texas. This is our first time visiting a canyon, and honestly it feels like we're in a different world.

We hike a few of the trails at the park: (1) the CCC trail that leads down into the canyon, and after a white-knuckle drive down in our skoolie, we hike the Lighthouse Trail that leads to the iconic Lighthouse Rock Formation

We can't wait to see more new things like this! And we are getting SO CLOSE to 10k subscribers! We'll announce a livestream once we reach the goal! 😊
