Since the first time I heard this song in the end of 50's (Long before starting with the guitar) I always felt attracted by its finesse and beauty. But recently about three years ago for the first time I decided to play it, making my own arrangement but sticking to its original form of Bossa-Nova.
João Gilberto released “Desafinado” in 1958 as part of a collection by Antonio Carlos Jobim. The lyrics of the melody were written by Newton Mendoca.
Recordings by Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra contributed to the song's popularity.
