Darksol is a song about childhood memories, sorrow and mistrust. I began writing this track at the beginning of the year when the heart and the head are most focused on change and new beginnings. Darksol is a character from one of my favorite gaming series of all time, Shining Force (Sega Genesis // March 19th 1992), he is an evil servant of the Dark Dragon and the superior villain of the game. Darksol uses his dark powers to enslave your older brother, Kane and use him against you while creating destruction and devastation all across the land of Rune. I write from the point of view of Max, the hero of the game while morphing my own personal experience into the story. This a true story and a personal darkness for me. Dedicated to my brother, and to the beginning of my Song-Writing-Lore. You will also hear a few references and quotes from the book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," by George R. R. Martin. The production is that of Fritz Van Kosky (Fritz the Cat) and was recorded, mixed and mastered at FTC Musik Labz LLC in Southfield, MI. Fear cuts deeper than swords, running backwards to the front door toward- how it used to be, who you used to be. Now I haven't the foggiest how to fix things. Dark words, dark wings. All the memories form dreams that sing silence in my dark shade. But I found my own way to keep it together, it takes all the strength that I own, hone the better.
