A walk through personal experience of trying to fulfill outside expectations that are “supposed” to make one happy. This collection of experiences display the struggles of conforming and reaching others expectations in a humorous but thoughtful way in order to truly shine the light on our life and our struggles with the problem of conformity and people pleasing. Beneyam was born as a normal anime hating kid without ever actually watching it, and transformed into an anime addicted nerd when he finally let go of biases and unreasonable hate. Ben loves to work out and is scared of animals except for cats, which he loves. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
