Treinen in Antwerpen 16-12-2024

Op zondag 15 December 2024 kwam de NMBS met een nieuwe dienstregeling voor 2025. De grootste wijziging is de introductie van 2 nieuwe treinen naar Nederland.
Met de Eurocity Direct, gereden door de nieuwe ICNG-B treinstellen van de Nederlandse NS kan je sinds de nieuwe dienstregeling van Brussel naar Amsterdam in minder dan 2 uur. Dit omdat er nu minder gestopt wordt dan de oude Benelux-trein en omdat de ICNG met zijn topsnelheid van 200km/u gebruik maakt van de HSL.
De andere Eurocity verbinding, gereden door 2 traxxen en Belgische I11 rijtuigen verbind Brussel met Rotterdam en zoekt wel nog alle tussenhaltes op van de oude Benelux-trein.
Deze grote verandering met 2 nieuwe lijnen en nieuwe treinen gaf mij het idee om nogmaals in Antwerpen te gaan Spotten. Met nog enkele leuke hoge snelheidstreinen en wat cargo's was het een geslaagde dag in Antwerpen.

On Sunday 15 December 2024, NMBS-SNCB released a new timetable for 2025.
The biggest change of the new timetable was the introduction of 2 new trains to the Netherlands.
With the Eurocity Direct, powered by the new ICNG-B trainsets of the Dutch NS, you can get in less than 2 hours from Brussels to Amsterdam. This because there are now fewer stops than with the old Benelux-train and because the ICNG, with its top speed of 200 km/h, uses the HSL lines.
The other Eurocity connection, driven by 2 traxx trains and Belgian I11 coaches, connects Brussels to Rotterdam and still seeks all the stops of the old Benelux-train.
These big changes with 2 new lines and new trains gave me the idea to do some spotting from Antwerp. With a few more nice high-speed trains and a few cargo trains, it was a successful day in Antwerp.
