The bit: We’ve gone back in time to the early 2010’s. The internet is a simpler place. Social media is getting bigger, but it hasn’t fully taken over people's lives yet. Online content like YouTube videos are made with passion and for fun, not AI garbage or slop, just trying to get as many views as possible to make as much money or clout as possible. Triple A Games are still made with the focus of being an innovative, enjoyable experience instead of marketing platforms trying to get you to spend all your money on microtransactions and battle passes.

As the series progresses, we’ll move forward through the years and experience new games, events, music, movies, and memes as if it’s the first time they’ve come out. Allowing for not only an escape from reality but also getting to experience the internet when it was still fun and exciting.

I will do my best to stay in character and act as someone who is living through the 2010’s for the first time, and you can play along in the chat/comments, too.

As much as this is sort of an escape for me from whatever the hell this absolutely insane timeline is, (as well as an excuse to go back and just play old, fun games) it’s also something I could see other people enjoying and playing along with. Because I know I’m not alone on the internet with this, I see people every day online unhappy with what the internet has turned into.

Which is why if you like this sort of content, you should subscribe, comment, like, and just do all that fun stuff that boosts engagement. I don’t normally ask people to do that, but this kind of content is something that can be made better with more people participating in it.

Because this bit is something I’m beyond passionate about. The internet is not going to slow itself down. It’s not going to stop the slop or be done with AI content. The golden age of the internet is over and has been for a while. But there’s nothing stopping you from going back and enjoying it again, or even experiencing it for the first time.
