DIY Half Lap Display Shelf

In this video I go through the steps I used to create this diy modern shelf to display and organize my Black Diamond Pigment containers.
I really think putting the chamfers on this piece made it so much better. They are all organized now so I can just
walk up and pick up what I need and go to work. This shelf idea and design can be modified for pretty much any display!

Measurements to my shelf...

Common Pine 1x4 boards (3/4" x 3 1/2")
4 boards @ 37 1/2" and 7 boards @ 24"
on the vertical boards leave 5" on one side and 4" on the other and alternate each board to offset them from each other.
