Himalayan Positives:
The engine is quite responsive and you do feel the 40 horses working, as the revs climb up.
Crosses 120 kmph in absolutely no time and still has enough juice left
Feels very stable both at crawling and highway speeds. Slightly experienced rider can escape keeping their feet on the ground even at crawling speeds.
Ergonomics are extremely comfortable for short riders. The seat is big enough to keep taller riders happy too and offers a very natural riding posture.
Suspension if fabulous and you can crush everything that the roads throw at you. Moreover, even with the huge range of travel, the suspension never feels wallow-ey
Instrumentation is the best in business with it's new age design and useful features.
At the launch price, the new Himalayan is superb value for money and perhaps one of the most well rounded package in the segment and a segment above.

Himalayan Negatives:
Engine heat is quite evident and you do feel it within a few minutes of riding the bike in regular traffic. In jam packed roads, the heat dissipated from the engine is a lot (almost like previous generations of KTM 390).
Mild vibrations start creeping in from 4000 rpm onwards. However not bothersome, as long as you are wearing good boots and gloves.
Not as beginner friendly off the road like the previous model of Himalayan. The rider has to be sufficiently skilled to be able to give some beans to the engine to have fun off-roading.
Under hard braking the front forks compresses a lot. While using brakes during a turn, it can get a bit scary.
Not the most beginner friendly.
