Watchin' Movies & Dyin' Inside: "Zapped" (2014) Comedy/Disney Channel Original Movie feat. Zendaya

I watch another movie and see whether or not it's amazing or if I start dying inside. Today's feature: 2014's "Zapped", directed by Peter DeLuise. If you loved 1982's outrageous teen sex romp comedy "Zapped!" and it's 1990 direct-to-video sequel "Zapped Again!"... then unfortunately this is not the film for you.

Instead it's a Disney Channel Original starring Zendaya as Zoey, a teen whose phone allows her to issue commands to boys, including her overbearing new step-father and step-brothers, and all of the oddball weirdos at her new High School.

Make no mistake -- Zendaya is great. Does all she can with the absurd material, and plays it with sincerity. Total pro. The rest of the cast are exactly what you'd expect in a film with this premise. Big and loud.

Suffice it to say, "Zapped" (2014) is not for me.
