सई ही एक साधी, गावाकडची मुलगी असते, जी दहावीत दोनदा नापास झालेली असते. तर अनिकेत हा तिचा लहानपणीचा मित्र आणि होणारा नवरा, जो आता शहरात एक प्रतिष्ठित 'प्रोफेसर' बनलेला असतो. अनिकेतची आई सईच्या शिक्षणावरून आणि स्टेटसवरून तिचा आणि तिच्या वडिलांचा घोर अपमान करतात. अनिकेत सईला अडाणी म्हणतो आणि भर कार्यक्रमात तिची लायकी काढतो. ती ठरवते की या अपमानाचे उत्तर द्यायचंच आणि मग ती असं काही करते ज्यामुळे अनिकेतचा.....
