On August 25th 2020, it was discovered that the already questionable Scots Wikipedia had been consisting of articles that were entirely made up by someone pretending to write in a language that they had absolutely no knowledge of - and it was further discovered that this act may have potentially had a rippling effect on the language as a whole.
