People with thyroid disorders might be more likely to struggle with symptoms of depression. Many people who have thyroid disorders often report other mental health problems. This can include mood and depression symptoms, OCD, and Postpartum Depression. Is there a connection between thyroid disorders and depression? Absolutely

there is! The evidence is irrefutable.

The thyroid, a small gland in the neck, plays an important role in several body functions. In some cases, a thyroid imbalance may contribute to depression as well as other types of mental health conditions.

Although it is estimated that around 12% of the U.S. population will develop a thyroid condition during their lifetime,1 the American Thyroid Association reports that 60% of people with a thyroid problem are unaware of their condition.
