Remembrance Sunday commemorations in Houghton-le-Spring, November 13th 2022.
We see:
the parade on Newbottle Street (featuring Houghton Brass Band, Houghton-le-Spring Detachment of Durham A.C.F., local veterans, civic dignitaries and representatives of community groups, the Scouts and Guides);
clergy and congregation gathering around the Cenotaph;
the Last Post and Silence at 11 o’clock;
the wreath laying at Houghton’s Cenotaph;
crowds of hundreds gathered in the Broadway to pay their respects;
the parade marching out.
Lest we forget.
