👉 What is a clause ? - A clause is a group of words that has subject and finite verb combination .
Clauses are of three types -
Main clause - Sub + Finite verb
Subordinate clause - Conjunction ( Subordinating conj. / Relative pronoun ) + sub + verb
Coordinate Clause - Coordinating Conjunction + sub + verb
👉 Types of Sentences in English Grammar in Bengali
1. – Simple sentence:
যে Sentence-এ একটি মাত্র Finite Verb থাকে, তাকে Simple Sentence বলে। A Simple sentence is one which has only one Finite verb.
Example : My teacher teaches me English. – আমার শিক্ষক আমাকে ইংরেজি শেখান।

2. Compound Sentence: যে Sentence-এ দুই বা তার অধিক Principal Clause থাকে, তাকে Compound Sentence বলে। A Compound Sentence is one which has two or more Principal Clauses.
Example : He is rich but his brother is poor. – সে ধনী কিন্তু তার ভাই গরীব।

3.Complex sentence: যে Sentence-এ একটি মাত্র Principal Clause বা Main Clause এবং এক বা একের অধিক Subordinate Clause থাকে, তাকে Complex sentence বলে।
Example : I know where he lives. – আমি জানি সে কোথায় থাকে।
