Two Generals, Over 40 Soldiers Arrested In Mali Coup Attempt!

The Alliance of the Sahel State is in danger. Not from the West or the regional bloc ECOWAS. But from inner forces trying to destabilize the individual member states and start coups to remove the military leaders from power. On August 7th, 2025, the citizens of Mali in Bamako, the country’s capital woke out to hear shocking news. Under the orders of Colonel Assimi, Mali’s security forces launched an operation that resulted in the arrests of dozens of military officers suspected of plotting to topple the country's military leaders. Initially, it was reported that there had been 20 arrests, however, sources close to the issue maintained that the arrests were over 50. Among these figures are two top generals in the military, one of which was Abass Dembele, a former military governor of the northern region of Mopti.
